As a result of the Federal Government's National Airport's Policy, ownership of the ETRA was transferred to the Corporation of the Township of Armstrong on June 11, 1997. The ETRA is operated by a joint Airport Services Board consisting of area Municipal, Business, Health and Aviation representatives ensuring increased local input towards its future direction and operation.
